Hey Belle Hey-

I’m not really sure where the idea of Friendsgiving started but it’s one of my favorite concepts….I love a reason to have a little Belle Chat Time with my BFF’s. To help you throw the posh’s friendsgiving keep reading for some of our best Belle Tips!

Belle Tip 1: Gather your Belle BFF’s

Invite your Belle BFF’s to your FriendsGiving Invite using a special invite or an e-vite…don’t forget to include the location and time that your guests should arrive

Belle Tip 2: Provide a Posh Treat

When throwing a FriendsGiving, you have a number of choices about the food…you could mirror a Thanksgiving meal or decide to keep it simple with appetizers or things that you may not always see on your Thanksgiving table.

Belle Tip 3: Have Party Activity

When hosting a soiree, it’s important to have an activity that can connect people together- especially when everyone together may only know the hostess… Try a grown up version of pin the tale on the donkey and have your guests write what they’re grateful for on the wall. You can also use the activity on our previous blog post: the Belle Gratitude Challenge

Belle Tip 4: Have a thank you (DIY Belle Thank You)

The last tip for a Posh FriendsGiving Soiree is to make sure you have a thank you- you can certainly do a traditional Thank You card but to make your event even more engaging consider a DIY succulent bar…guests can make a succulent bowl and plant them in their design…it provides an opportunity to get creative and say thank you to your guests at the same time.

Seafood Belle?

I don't know about you but there's something about summer and seafood that just makes me happy!

If you follow me on insta then one thing you've learned is I'm bi-state...ALWAYS NC but occasionally in MD (aka...the DMV area)

This blog post is a perfect combination of my two seafood visits at the NC Seafood Restaurant at the Farmer's Market in Raleigh, NC &  the Annapolis Seafood Market in Annapolis, MD

Let's start with the home state...

If you ever have the travel to NC I highly suggest you do so but stop in each region of our state because just like the people our food is very unique...I mean seriously outside of football the BBQ debate (East vs. West can lead you to an all out food fight...lol)

The NC Seafood at the Farmer's Market provides visitors the opportunity to enjoy Calabash Style Seafood. The lines can be long but they move very quickly but just be prepared to leave the restaurant full and with the scent of seafood.

While I enjoyed my food there if you are someone who likes well done food make sure you ask them to fry your food a little longer!

I'm pretty sure unless you're from MD this is one of MD's hidden gems..(I've been here for 4 years and just found this place)

While it's not quite at the Farmer's Market, walking into this location gives you the mini feeling of being at a market

When you visit you have the option to purchase fresh seafood and take it home to cook or they'll even cook your food on the spot!

Another favorite was the free Lemon with your order!

I highly reccommend you use a nice summer day for a trip to one of these Seafood Locations....What's your favorite Summer Resturant Spot..Comment Below!

Sprinkle Party -Yes Please!!

Entertaining, DIY, Celebration, PartyHolly WilsonComment

Hey Belle Hey-

Nothing says summer to us like a party...especially an ice cream party in the summer with sprinkled. Keep reading below some tips...

One of our favorite things about hosting a sprinkle party is given our guest the opportunity to design their own ice cream. Truthfully this is a party for the young and young at heart. One thing to keep in mind when hositing this party is CHOICES- Taking an old tiered basket allows you to display cones and cups in a fun way and provide a way for your guests to choose their favorite way to eat ice cream

Another creative way to bring an ice cream party to life is a customized backdrop. We used an old clothes hanger rack (you can usually grab one at Target for no more than 20 bucks), white  fabric, and blew up the skinny balloons to look like sprinkles. The paper lanterns were brought at a local party story (you can easily take solid color lanterns and draw sprinkles on them )..

Not only do you have a perfect photo backdrop but you have a themed space for your guests to sit and enjoy their ice cream.
