Welcome to December Belles -Let’s Save Some Memories …

I am back with our final blog post for 2023…cue the confetti and sparkle tears

One of my favorite things about this month is that I spend some time looking back at my memories, adding them to my scrapbooks if I need to catch up and adding things I need to remember into my 2024 planner (Yes, I’m still a paper planner girl..don’t judge me…it’s just something about crisp paper).

This month’s DIY is a perfect way to capture memories in the form of photos or if you have stashed away some scrapbook paper that you can’t part with (Yep, I’m that girl too) then keep reading and let’s grab some supplies….

For this DIY I highly recommend you shop your stash…there was only one purchase I needed to make and that was the round wooden disc in the photo above. I opted for the discs with holes (you will see why later) but if you wanted to you could get discs that do not have holes added. The craft glue in the photo is just matte mod podge from another crafting event.

For this project you could use scissors or a circle punch. Once you decide on that you should decide if you would like to use scrapbook paper or photos to place on your wooden disc….you could also use a combination of both.

After selecting your paper your next step is to cut your designs to match the circle shape. You could measure them or place the wooden disc on your paper and trace the circle. Before gluing your design make a whole in your paper if you are using the disc with the whole, you can poke a whole or use a small whole punch.

From there , I added mod podge onto the disc, placed my design and then added a thin layer on top. Once it was dry (it doesn’t take long) I used a nail file to make sure my edges were smooth and went around the edges of the disc with one more round of mod podge.

I decided to raise up a sticker with foam squares that I did not want to part with and added it to the front my design, I also added a piece of twine so I could easily hang my memory keeper on my creative board in my office for inspiration in 2024.

What type of memory keeper do you plan to make? Comment below &…

As Always,
