#HowHolly Women's History Month Shirt

Hey Belle Hey-

Welcome to March and Women’s History Month. I have been spending lots of time in the studio and I wanted a shirt that I could wear while crafting up all of my DIY’s and I also wanted to have something that celebrated our month.

After thinking it over, I thought about my favorite hairstyle when I’m in the studio…a bun and a headband. From there I did a Cricut Design Space search and narrowed my focus to two designs. Keep reading to see my final selection and for the steps to make your own shirt.

CRAFT SUPPLIES:

  1. One solid color iron on vinyl for your silhouette face

  2. One iron on vinyl color for the bow accent (this is optional, and I decided to shop my scraps)

  3. A t-shirt or sweatshirt for your design

Let’s Make Something Fabulous

After grabbing your supplies, you can open Cricut Design Space to search for a design or you can start with my design here.

New Template Design in Cricut Design Space

Once you have your design, the next thing to do is to determine the size you want your image. Design space has some new templates for shirt designs on the computer. I opted to try them out since I wanted my image to take up most of my shirt.

The second step I did was to duplicate the image and use the contour feature to only leave a second bow to cut out in a different color. This step is optional but it’s perfect if you would like to add a pop of color. When I finished weeding my design, I really thought about keeping the image as is but I later opted to add a pink bow because pink is always in style!

Once your design is ready the last step is to press it onto your shirt and just like that you will have a shirt for your craft room and to celebrate Women’s History Month.
